ORGANIC ART INSTITUTE
I have recently been included on the new Organic Art Institute website. organicartinstitute.org. Check it out.
WINTER PRESSING 2013-14
Another year I have buried paper under winter snow and harvested it in the spring. This winter was very mild, only 27 inches at my location north of Durango at 7000+ feet. The paper was used in a book about the rivers of the world. This book is a companion for the wall installation "Roots into Rivers" recently exhibited in California and Durango. The construction is my own invention. The maps of various rivers are drawn on the nature-altered paper and vellum is overlaid with the ink-jetprinted name of the river.

JOURNEY OF AN ARTIST
The exhibit "Journey of an Artist: The Art of Mary Ellen Long" is now open. It has been wonderful to see where I have been in this art adventure of 49 years! Putting up selections of work done through these many years is quite a revelation.
